Cleveland Cavaliers @ Toronto Raptors
The start of the 2nd round begins for these two teams both seeking an NBA Championship this year. The Toronto Raptors had a fantastic season, where they finished first in the conference, while the Cavaliers were in more of a “learning” stage for the 2nd half of the season with all the new players. These two teams meet for a 3rd year in a row with the Cavaliers winning in 6 games in the Eastern Conference Finals, then sweeping the Raptors last year in the second round. With the new dynamics and game plans of each team, it is sure to be an exciting series all in all, starting with Game 1.
Coming off of a tiresome series against the Indiana Pacers, whom pushed the Cavaliers to their absolute limits, the Cavs are quickly having to re-group to play the Raptors. Lebron James has talked about how tired he is after that series, but can we really believe that Lebron is “THAT” tired? The Raptors aren’t buying it, although he did play massive minutes not just in Game 7, but the entire series with the Pacers.
It is going to be interesting seeing the game plan that the Raptors roll out against the Cavs, it seems that they are going to start out with continuing to push Lebron James to his limits, to keep him tired, if there is such thing as Lebron getting tired. The Raptors have ample rest after finishing the Wizards in 6 games, and have had a lot to learn from their own series, plus watching the Pacers defend the Cavs and seeing what worked and what didn’t.
Bold Prediction: Raptors win 108-100 (too close to call the spread)
