NFL Football: New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles – Week 6

Week 6 begins with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the New York Giants. To put it simply no team in the NFC East is playing very well, no one is above .500 so the division is still very much so up for grabs for anyone.

The Eagles have lost 2 games in a row now, to the Vikings and Titans in the last two weeks. It was no surprise to see a close game with the Vikings, but nonetheless the loss still hurts. The good thing for the Eagles going into this game is just how poor the Giants defense is oveall. The bad thing is how close this game usually is between these two teams and that momentum is probably with the 1-4 Giants after sticking it close with the Panthers last week. This won’t be easy for the Eagles as they will be without their lead back Jay Ajayi, expect Clement and Smallwood to be a tandem in the backfield this week as they go against the 27th ranked rushing defense. It is expected to be a high-paced game which plays into the favor of the Eagles, and with a solid top 10 defense, the Giants may struggle getting things going.

If there is one thing the Giants have going for them it is the momentum they are bringing into this game after losing with a last minute field-goal to the Panthers. It shows they can hang with the best, and even the best defense. This game favors the Giants a little bit in terms that this game between the Giants and Eagles usually runs pretty close, but if they don’t figure out their defensive woes that is where the Eagles will flourish. The run game for the Eagles is injured, knowing already Wentz will be relied upon to make things happen. The other piece of the puzzle is leaning on the momentum following Barkley and Beckham. One of them is going to get shut down, thoughts are leaning towards Barkley, leading to the conclusion that Manning will have to be on top of his game to move the ball by passing it.

Expect a close game between the two, with defense going to be the story of the winning team when all is said and done!
